Wow, this is the first time I get to see the story of what had happen. We have hugged each other and discussed our feelings over losing a loved one but this story leaves me speechless. I pray that God will continue to give you the guidance and finances to educate people on depression and things like Out of the Darkness. God Bless.

Thank you for your comment, Jenny. The way that I continue to deal with it is through therapy with an excellent therapist and a support system. I never gave up on finding someone who would truly listen to me and I want to encourage others to never give up on that as well. There is someone who will listen. I know because I found one.

I am so glad I read this, thank you! My son is also named Michael, but so far he is very alive. Instead, I lost my husband, but I hear from your words, how awfully, awfully hard it is to lose anyone close. You think you can’t survive it, I know. It gets so mixed up when you think back at all the things that happened. And the love stays with you, yes, I know! May God bless you.
